REKO 2026 Mid-Year Review: A Stronger Team and More Reliable CNC Machining Support
Table of Contents
In June 2026, REKO held its mid-year meeting. We looked back at our work from January to May in team building, customer service, digital management, CNC machines, quality control, and overseas marketing. We also set the main goals for the second half of the year.
In the first half of 2026, REKO’s sales, marketing, operations, and customer support team grew from fewer than 10 people to 18 people. The company set up a marketing department, kept improving its English website and social media work, made more use of Fumeng, RPA, and other digital tools, and added two five-axis CNC machines and two tool storage cabinets.
At the same time, REKO kept improving project records, communication between teams, production steps, and quality management. The production side also started more work to prepare for an ISO 9001 quality management system.
For REKO, new people, machines, and systems only have real value when they lead to clearer customer communication, more stable production, and more reliable project support.
The first half of 2026 was a time for REKO to build a stronger base. By improving our people, work steps, machines, and quality management, we hope to give customers around the world more stable long-term CNC machining support.
1. Review the Progress and Set the Next Direction
A custom CNC machining project usually needs help from several teams.
After a customer sends drawings, a 3D model, and project needs, the project may go through technical review, quoting, material buying, CNC programming, machining, first-part inspection, batch production, deburring, cleaning, final inspection, packing, and shipping.
During this process, drawing versions, tolerance needs, surface finish, packing method, and delivery time must be written down clearly and shared on time.
For this reason, REKO’s mid-year meeting was not only a review of finished work. It was also a time to check:
· Were customer needs recorded in full?
· Were important inquiries and projects followed up on time?
· Did different teams use the correct drawings and project information?
· Were problems in production, inspection, and delivery sent to the right person on time?
· Were past problems turned into clear improvement steps?
By checking its work on a regular basis, REKO can find weak points earlier and turn past lessons into work steps that are clearer, more stable, and easier to follow.
Thanking Responsible Employees
The mid-year meeting also included an employee award section.
Employees from the General Manager’s Office, Finance, Marketing, Order Follow-Up, and Sales were thanked for taking responsibility, helping other teams, following orders carefully, and doing good sales work.
REKO values responsibility and teamwork because reliable CNC machining does not only depend on machines.
Machines make parts. People confirm needs, check details, move projects forward, work with other teams, and act quickly when they find a problem.
For customers, a careful and stable team that is willing to speak early can reduce missed information and wrong ideas. It can also help a project move more smoothly from inquiry to production and delivery.
2. A Larger Team and Clearer Job Duties
In the first half of 2026, the REKO team grew again.
The sales, marketing, operations, and customer support team grew from fewer than 10 people to 17 people. New employees joined sales development, social media, video editing, graphic design, and other support jobs. Some experienced employees also started to take on more team and management work.
With a larger team, REKO can put more people into customer communication, marketing content, project records, and internal support. At the same time, clear job duties become more important.
In a small team, one person may do many jobs. Important information may stay in personal notes, chat records, or different files. As the number of customers and projects grows, personal memory alone cannot support long-term and stable project management.
REKO is therefore making job duties and handover rules clearer. Customer files, order information, production status, and unfinished work can then be shared in a clearer way.
Setting Up the Marketing Department
In the first half of 2026, REKO officially set up its marketing department.
The marketing team does more than post on social media. Its work also includes:
· Organizing company and machining information
· Improving the English website
· Making CNC machining and industry content
· Taking and sorting factory photos and videos
· Studying overseas markets and customer needs
· Helping the sales team explain REKO’s services more clearly
This work can help overseas customers learn about REKO’s machining ability, quality control, packing methods, and project support before they send private drawings or place a sample order.
The marketing team will also make more content about real customer needs.
For example, sensor parts may need stable sizes and fit. Motorcycle parts may need both good mechanical use and steady anodized color and appearance. Industrial equipment customers may need repeat orders for many different part numbers over a long time.
Useful content should not only show a machine cutting metal. It should also help customers understand possible problems in material, tolerance, machining, inspection, surface finish, and packing.
3. Better Work Steps and Digital Management
As the team grew, REKO kept improving weekly meetings, customer files, order records, job duties, and standard work steps.
As the team grew, REKO kept improving weekly meetings, customer files, order records, job duties, and standard work steps.
Regular meetings give the team a fixed time to check projects.
A customer may send a new drawing. An anodized part may need more masking notes. The buying time for a material may change. First-part inspection may also show that the program or machining setting needs more work.
When these problems are raised early, the team can make the next step, the person in charge, and the finish time clearer.
Weekly meetings do not replace daily communication. They help different teams check unfinished work and project risks, so fewer problems are left for too long or missed.
Building Better Project Records
REKO is putting more customer and order information into one clear system.
Project records may include:
· Drawings versions
· Technical needs confirmed by the customer
· Material and surface finish needs
· Production and inspection status
· Packing and shipping records
· Customer feedback and improvement steps
These records are very important for repeat orders.
A customer may order the same part again several months later, but the new order may use a different drawing version. A project may also move from sample testing to batch production and then to many repeat orders.
Clear history records help the team find the right files faster and reduce the risk of depending only on personal memory.
Standard work steps do not mean every project is handled in the same way. A simple aluminum spacer and a complex five-axis housing need different levels of drawing review, production setup, and inspection.
Standard steps give the team a clear starting point. The final plan is still changed based on the part shape, tolerance, quantity, and use.
Using Digital Tools in a Useful Way
In the first half of 2026, REKO kept using Fumeng, RPA, and some AI tools to help with customer files, project follow-up, market study, and content work.
Digital tools can help the team:
· Group customers and inquiries
· Set follow-up reminders
· Find old orders and communication records
· Manage internal tasks
· Prepare standard files
· Check project progress
· Reduce some repeated work
But digital tools cannot replace technical judgment.
The team still needs to review the real drawing and project needs to decide whether a tight tolerance fits the machining method, whether a thin wall may change shape, whether a tool can reach a feature, and whether a surface finish may change a hole or thread size.
REKO uses digital tools to handle information faster, while keeping the needed human checks and technical review.
4. Stronger CNC Machining and Quality Management
Two New Five-Axis CNC Machines
In the first half of 2026, REKO added two five-axis CNC machines and put them into use.
Five-axis machining can give more process choices for parts with features on many sides, more complex shapes, angled holes or surfaces, or a need for fewer setups.
Fewer setups can lower the risk of errors from taking a part off and setting it again. The new machines also give suitable projects more choices in production timing and machining plans.
However, five-axis machining is not the only choice for every complex part.
REKO checks the part shape, tool access, tolerance needs, order quantity, workholding, inspection needs, and total cost before choosing the machining method.
Some parts may be better made on a three-axis machine with a special fixture. Round parts may be better for CNC turning. The final method is chosen after the drawing and technical needs are reviewed.
Two New Tool Storage Cabinets
Besides adding machines, REKO also installed two tool storage cabinets.
Clear tool management helps the team sort tools, check stock, shorten setup time, and keep the production area more organized.
Production speed does not only come from the number of machines. It also depends on how tools, materials, people, programs, and production plans work together.
The new tool storage cabinets are part of REKO’s work to improve shop-floor management and production support.
Making Quality Management Clearer
Quality management was an important part of the mid-year meeting.
REKO reviewed some project records, shipping results, and customer feedback. It also kept improving drawing review, first-part inspection, checks during production, final inspection, surface finish, and packing.
For a batch order, the normal production flow may include:
1. Drawing and order review
2. Material preparation
3. Machine setup and first-part machining
4. First-part inspection
5. Batch production
6. Checks during production
7. Deburring and cleaning
8. Final inspection
9. Inspection records or reports when needed
10. Packing and shipping
The inspection tools are chosen based on the part features, tolerance, quantity, use, and the customer’s report needs.
Calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, ring gauges, and pin gauges can be used for different size or function checks. A projector or CMM can also be used when the feature and tolerance need it.
REKO’s goal is not to use the same inspection method for every part. The goal is to choose a suitable and workable inspection plan for each project.
Preparing for ISO 9001 Certification
In June 2026, REKO’s production side started more quality management system work to prepare for ISO 9001 certification.
This work includes clearer work rules, clearer job duties, better record control, better production control, problem correction, and continued improvement.
The certification work is still in progress.
Before the audit is finished and the certificate is received, REKO will not say that it has ISO 9001 certification. For us, the main goal is not only to get a certificate. It is also to use the related rules in daily production and quality work.
5. Helping Overseas Customers Learn More About REKO
Many overseas customers first learn about a CNC machining supplier through its website, social media, and online information.
Before a sample order or first batch order, they may not be able to visit the factory. For this reason, online information must be true, clear, and complete enough to support a first review of the supplier.
REKO is continuing to improve its English website, social media, technical articles, factory photos, and production videos.
Besides showing real machines and production work, the marketing team will also make content about questions that customers care about, such as:
· What type of part is being made
· Why a material or machining method is chosen
· Which areas may be hard to machine
· How the first part and final parts are checked
· How surface finish may change size and appearance
· How high-precision or appearance-sensitive parts are packed
· How sample orders and batch orders are managed in different ways
This information can help engineers and buyers decide more quickly whether REKO fits their project. It can also reduce missing information at the start of an inquiry.
In the future, REKO will show more real production steps, including drawing review, machining, first-part inspection, batch production, deburring, cleaning, final inspection, and packing.
When we make and publish content, we will keep protecting customer information. Without customer approval, REKO will not show customer names, drawings, project numbers, or part information covered by an NDA.
6. Plans for the Second Half of 2026 and Our Long-Term Goal
In the second half of 2026, REKO will keep improving customer communication, production support, quality management, and its understanding of overseas market needs.
Focus on Better-Matched Industries
REKO will learn more about industries that match its current CNC machining ability. These include automotive, motorcycle, sensors, industrial equipment, bicycle, hydraulics, and other custom mechanical parts.
The team will keep studying real needs in material, tolerance, appearance, assembly, batch buying, and supply chain work. This will help us give customers more useful project support.
Improve Customer Communication and Project Review
REKO will keep improving how it collects project information, reviews drawings, and follows important inquiries.
When a sales employee cannot confirm a technical need, the question should be checked with the engineering, production, or quality team instead of being answered by guesswork.
More accurate early communication can lower the risk of wrong ideas during quoting, production, and delivery.
Improve the Website and Customer-Focused Content
The marketing team will keep updating service pages, material pages, surface finish content, industry pages, quality content, technical articles, videos, and inquiry guides.
The goal is to help customers understand REKO’s ability, working method, and project support before they send private project information.
Plan Customer Visits in the UK and the US
REKO plans to visit customers in the United Kingdom first and then visit customers in the United States.
These visits have not happened yet, and the details are still being prepared.
The main goal is to learn more about customer products, buying needs, document needs, packing methods, communication habits, and long-term project plans.
Face-to-face talks can help REKO understand customer needs in real product use and supply chain work better than email and online meetings alone.
REKO is also checking possible overseas trade shows, but no show has been confirmed yet.
Keep Improving Systems and Production Support
In the second half of the year, REKO will keep improving:
· Job duties and standard work steps
· Customer and order records
· The use of Fumeng and RPA tools
· Weekly meetings and communication between teams
· Employee training
· Quality management work
· Production planning
· Tool management
· Problem correction and continued improvement
The main point is not to add more formal steps. It is to make key information clearer and lower the risk of missed details and wrong communication.
Our Long-Term Goal
REKO’s long-term goal is:
To become a preferred manufacturing partner for more customers, a trusted and responsible long-term partner for suppliers, and a company that employees can trust and grow with.
These three goals are linked.
A stable and skilled team can give customers more steady service. Good supplier relationships can help keep material, surface finish, packing, and shipping support more stable. Clear job duties, training, and employee awards can help employees grow with the company.
Being a preferred CNC machining supplier does not mean giving the lowest price for every project.
It means understanding the customer’s project, explaining possible risks early, handling drawings and technical needs carefully, and continuing to improve service from samples to batch production and repeat orders.
Moving Forward
In the first half of 2026, REKO grew its team, set up a marketing department, improved its website and social media work, made more use of Fumeng and RPA tools, added two five-axis CNC machines and two tool storage cabinets, and kept improving production and quality management.
In the second half of 2026, we will work to turn these changes into clearer customer communication, more stable project work, better production support, and more useful information for overseas customers.
We thank every REKO employee for their work. We also thank our suppliers for their support and our customers for sharing projects, feedback, and ideas with us.
